Where to find Edgar and Martha Handmade this December:

Frost Fair - Saturday, December 1, 2018, 10am-5pm, Fort York, 250 Fort York Blvd, Toronto, ON M5V 3K9, free admission!

“Have some holiday fun with the whole family at historic Fort York. Shop for unique gifts made by local artisans, including jewellery, heritage-inspired reproductions and holiday greenery. Enjoy military and musical demonstrations alongside children's drill sessions, games, crafts and dress-up. Print your own Frost Fair souvenir on a Mackenzie House press. Visit our Volunteer Historic Cooks to sample period recipes and stop by the Heritage Café for lunch.”

Happy to be participating once again at this craft show in a museum. The crowd was mixed between visitors to this historic site and neighbours from the Fort York neighbourhood. Last year we had a primo view of the Morris dancers, and even got to participate in a couple of routines. This year we’ve got our fingers crossed for skating on the Bentway!

Gladstone Hotel Marketplace: Textile Edition - December 16, 2018, 10am-4pm, Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1J6, free admission!

“The Gladstone Hotel invites everyone to get ahead of the shopping rush with our Textile Edition. Vendors will present unique artist-made objects, wearables, fashion accessories, and home decor items for sale. This market will showcase a range of handcrafted textile items in various techniques and price points aimed at holiday gift giving.”

It’s our first time at the Gladstone Marketplace, and we’re excited to be participating in this textile show! Gifts made of cloth and fiber make the best gifts - they symbolize warmth, softness, and protection. Make a day of it and make a check mark next to everyone on your list at the Gladstone, handily located between the West Queen West and Parkdale neighbourhood.
